The States are asked to decide:-
Whether, after consideration of the policy letter entitled ‘Legislative Changes to enable Streamlining of the Plan Making and Amendment Process’ dated 5 June 2026, they are of the opinion:-
- To agree to the adoption of the draft Land Planning and Development (Plans) Ordinance, 2026 set out in Appendix A of the attached Policy Letter.
2. To agree to repeal the existing Land Planning and Development (Plans) Ordinance, 2007 and the Land Planning and Development (Plans) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2017.
3. To agree to the related and consequential amendments to the Land Planning and Development (Guernsey) Law, 2005, and the Land Planning and Development (Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance), 2007 and the Land Planning and Development (General Provisions) Ordinance, 2007, as set out in Part V of the draft Ordinance.
